Count a cash drawer the same way every time

The problem

Drawer counts vary by person, so shortages cannot be traced.

Steps

1. Count in a set order, largest bills to coins
2. Count twice, and have a second person verify on close
3. Write the count on a drawer slip before comparing to the POS
4. Record any over or short with initials
5. Never let the person who ran the drawer count it alone
