Collect patient payments at check-in

The problem

Copays and balances get skipped and turn into collections later.

Steps

1. Verify insurance and estimate the copay before the visit
2. Ask for payment at check-in in plain words
3. Show any prior balance on the screen and ask about it
4. Offer a card on file option
5. Log any skipped collection with a reason
